I need to have my car painted, help!!?
Ok, I have a 1999 Mustang and it needs a few dents fixed and a new paint job. I was looking to do it myself but Im thinking this is out of the question bc I have no place to do it other than my garage (I have an air compressor and I can buy the paint gun and filters/what not) Well I have a friend that knows how to paint cars and he said he would only charge me a couple hundred to spray it if I sand it down myself and buy the paint. I dont know where to get paint or how much it would be. I live in College Station, Texas if that makes a difference, Just tell me a few good websites to order it from or a store somewhere in CS/Houston (if your local) and about how much it would be, thanks!!
Oh, he’s a friend of a friend, sorry. And could I bring my own paint and just use their stuff? for cheap? I didn’t think I could do that
Look for a MAACO paint shop in your yellow pages. they do both of those things reasonably. watch t.v. and read the papers for when they have the 1/2 priced paint sales. my son and i have had a total of at least 6 different cars pained there. like anything else though it also depends on who does the work. they are reliable as far as i’m concerned. not bbodywork, but when they have a paint sale you can get a car pained STARTING at about $200.00 but be ppreparedto spend more. don”t change the color of the car because door jams, rims etc will add to the cost.
