My fuel regulator filter was staying open, i got told to buy new, which i did but the car still not working?
I took my car to a local garage, they put it on the computer said it wasn’t pin pointing the problem but said the fuel reg was staying open instead of opening and closing bought new but still no joy with it.
had someone else have a look and the did a live fuel test, which was clear, but the air filter had black granules in it so they emptyed them out but still no joy, my battery is now flat just charging it again, the car is really draining the battery fast, plus put my astra battery in yesterday while charging mine and now that battery is flat, been told it could be a faulty fuel relay, but nobody has changed it as been told its awkward to get to
if you can be more specific about your problem i can really help you:
a fuel regulator measures the fuel pressure coming out of the tank(35-60 psi) to supply fuel to the injectors.
if it is bad: the pressure would either be too high too low,or it would suck gas through the intake manifold(you would burn an excessive amount of gas).
draining the battery:
If your Bart is draining its either bad,sytem is not charging it.
runnig the batt should be above 12.6 volts dc or more at 1000 rpm’s
