How helpful is an indoor air filter for allergies?
Orek has one for $700 that is supposed to filter air in your whole house. My 2500 sq ft house it tight in that stays warm without much heat in cold winter, so I am thinking this air filter might help bad allergies. We also have a dog. What do you think? Any experience using this kind of filter or do you have a better idea?
3M makes filters that you put into your A/C unit. They cost about $10 and are sold at home depot, ace hardware and lowe’s. You are better off filterting the air that runs through the a/c than trying to filter it room by room. Change the a/c filters on schedule.
You should have a RAST test, it’s a blood test that tells you what you are allergic to. With one tube of blood your doctor will know what you are allergic to and what medication is best to treat it.
